Privacy Policy

SCT Floor Covering ("SCT," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Suzanne's Carpet & Tile LLC, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you contact us, request a quote, or have flooring work performed, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Effective date:05/30/2025

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide to us directly and information generated in the normal course of doing a flooring project, including:

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and the address where work will be performed or billed.

  • Project information — measurements, room details, product selections, photos of your space, and notes from consultations or site visits.

  • Transaction information — quotes, invoices, deposits, balances, and payment status. Card and bank details are handled by our payment processors; we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.

  • Communications — emails, text messages, voicemails, and notes from conversations with our team.

We collect this information when you call or email us, fill out a form, request an estimate, or work with us on a project.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Prepare quotes and estimates and schedule consultations, measurements, and installations.

  • Order materials and coordinate installers and subcontractors for your project.

  • Send invoices, process payments, and manage warranties or follow-up service.

  • Communicate with you about your project and respond to questions.

  • Keep records required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.

  • Improve our products, service, and operations.

Internal AI-Assisted Tools

We use internal, AI-assisted business tools — including Google Workspace and QuickBooks Online — to manage projects, scheduling, communications, quotes, and financial recordkeeping. We choose these tools deliberately with your privacy in mind:

  • We use these tools under business or enterprise agreements, not consumer accounts.

  • Under these agreements, your information is used to provide services to us, is not sold to third parties, is not used for third-party advertising, and is not used to train public, general-purpose AI models.

  • Existing access controls and security protections continue to apply to your information when it is processed by these tools.

Each provider's business data protections govern how your information is handled within its tool. For example, Google Workspace's enterprise protections keep customer content within our organization's domain and provide that it is not used to train generative AI models without permission. Other providers may use your information to deliver and improve the features within their own platform, consistent with their business terms.

We do not use AI tools to make legally significant decisions about you without human involvement.

Internal use only; no end-user license agreement. These tools are used solely by SCT staff to operate our business. They are not products, software, or services that we offer or provide to you. You do not access, install, license, or agree to any terms for these tools as part of requesting a quote, communicating with us, or having work performed. No end-user license agreement (EULA) applies to you in connection with our internal use of these tools.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to do your project and run our business, including with:

  • Installers and subcontractors performing work on your project.

  • Suppliers and manufacturers to order and warranty materials.

  • Service providers such as payment processors, accounting and bookkeeping software (including QuickBooks Online), scheduling tools, and communication tools, who are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us.

  • Professional advisors (for example, our accountant or attorney) when reasonably necessary.

  • Authorities or others when required by law, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to complete your project, honor warranties, and meet our accounting, tax, and legal obligations, after which we dispose of it securely.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the information you entrust to us.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us to review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are required to keep. Depending on your state of residence — including under the Colorado Privacy Act for Colorado residents — you may have additional rights regarding your personal data. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Children's Privacy

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third-Party Links

Our website or communications may link to third-party sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date.
